Software used

The client wanted a hyper-realistic asteroid for his project with a turntable animation. For the concept, the client wanted it to look like the real asteroid Apophis, and emphasized that he wanted it as detailed as possible. I started the base model in ZBrush, where I used the heightmaps of rocks, mountains, and sand as masks to stamp on the detail later in the sculpting process. For the different height maps, I used Gaea 2, which saved me from searching the internet for random ones. The material is a combination of PBR textures in Blender.
